A couple of other favorites of mine…
1) Penultimate (for iPad). This lets you take hand written notes on the iPad with a stylus and has become a big part of my push to go all electronic. It’s now owned by Evernote so good integration there and with Dropbox.
2) Dragon GO. I just came across this one but it’s great. It uses voice recognition to do amazing searches. It links into Google, Yelp, Amazon, You Tube, Flickster, IMDB, Twitter, Wikipedia, Pandora, etc. You just ask it a question and it guesses which one of these will give you the best answer. If you don’t like that, you can scroll through answers from all of the other services. It’s like Siri but on steroids and you don’t need an iPhone 4S to use it. Best of all, it’s free.
I love all the apps you picked. I can’t believe how important apps are for our day to day lives. I also love Evernote app to dump any though as a note into a blank canvas. And I also have be an advocate for izip, to unlock all the files that I need to open on my Ipad.
Nice post, Lisa. I work with executives and professionals in career transition, and some of these apps would be helpful to them in their job search. You’ve given me an idea for my next newsletter article. Thank you!
